Roger is the founder and managing director of Proctor + Stevenson, an award-winning Bristol-based marketing, design and communications agency. Established in 1979, they work with national and multinational blue-chip clients such as Panasonic, BMW, Prysmian, Rathbones, MDL and Regus.

Roger founded the South West Student Design Awards, which ran for 15 years and opened the door to a career in design for some of the region’s most promising graduates. More recently, he spoke at the European Commission organised Innova Conference in Copenhagen and presented to the Associate Parliamentary Design and Innovation Group to help map the future of UK design education. In 2012 Roger was awarded an MBE for his services to design and education in the Diamond Jubilee Honours List.

Roger’s passion is design, and he believes that British design is, and should be, world-leading. He is an advocate of design as a catalyst for positive change economically, culturally and socially, particularly in the South West of England.

Roger will be representing Bristol on the panel discussion which will focus on how the South West can create its own version of the 21st Century Digital Economy.
