Martin Howitt

Martin currently serves as Senior Information Systems & Technology Architect at Bristol City Council. He has worked on business strategy, enterprise architecture, operations, technical infrastructure, project management and technical communications.

As co-founder of Beyond, a social enterprise which hosts the Devon Node of the Open Data Institute, runs local data infrastructure and the ThingsCamp IoT unconference, Martin focuses on building capacity in exploiting open data through all organisations in the region and he is passionate about the benefits of open IT architecture and data in the public sector, where his substantive role sits.
