Digital Plymouth runs a quarterly meetup – with three speakers, plus plenty of time for networking and general socialising. The intention is to bring together our diverse and talented community of digital businesses and organisations and enable us to recognise and celebrate how many of us there are. In addition, by coming together, we can share knowledge and learn about the amazing things that are being created right here in Plymouth. Arrive from 6:30pm, grab a drink at the bar, talks start at 7pm and the event finishes when everyone has had their fill of creative goodness. Attendance is FREE so sign up now and get involved.

Design out Drowning

Between 2012 and 2019, over 275 people lost their lives in and around the water in the South West.

This was despite the endeavours of a world class rescue service and a network of volunteers dedicated to saving lives through the delivery of prevention campaigns and a portfolio of safety products.

A change was needed to how we approach intervention development and it was this that catalysed the creation of Design Out Drowning.

Linking some of the most creative brains in the region up with true subject matter experts from the RNLI and other related organisations has led to some new and innovative ways of saving lives into the future.

Steve Instance, RNLI Water Safety Lead, will present to the forum about how Design Thinking Methodology is saving lives around the coastline of Cornwall and how you can get involved in changing behaviours to save lives in and around Plymouth.

Providing Data Fuel

In today’s saturated world relevancy is king. As the old saying goes, you need to send the right message, at the right time, through the right channel and you need to use the right tools for the job. Yet building a complete marketing tech stack is just the start. Each of them needs data fuel on which to run.

Let’s have a look closer at this challenge and see how modern digital marketing practices tackle this and deliver results.
